CUSA is bad dude.

Don’t get me confused. C-USA is a terrible conference. The AAC and Sun Belt are not nearly as good as they are made out to be. My argument is there is very little difference between the G5 conferences. That will hold even more true when the AAC loses SMU next year.

quote:

At the end of the year(that's what we go by right committee?) SMU, Tulane, and Memphis all looked better. SMU lost 28-11 to Oklahoma and 34-17 by TCU. Both of those games were winnable going into the 4th quarter. That's not a curbstomping. Memphis lost by 7 to Missouri. Tulane led Ole Miss to the middle of the 4th. Troy wasn't even in the conversation. This was my opinion before any bowl games. You can't judge squat off of them.

SMU was down three scores to TCU entering the fourth quarter.

Memphis also needed overtime to beat a three win Charlotte.

My problem is people want to put Liberty under a microscope but not do that to the AAC teams. They didn’t win any difficult games.

No G5 team had the traditional resume. There isn’t a signature win on any of their schedules. Therefor you take the team that simply took care of business every week.

And there you have it.

Wrong. This was my feeling on selection day. I thought SMU should've been ranked above Liberty, especially since undefeated FSU was left out. Kind of the same deal. Hell, SMU and Tulane lost their bowls also.

Yes they did. Decisively. Against much weaker competition.

Everyone knows who “that guy” is. Congrats.

Let’s try a 3rd time. What guy is that?

The one that understands your own team’s bowl selection process better than you do?

The one you’re dreaming about posting while you’re at your own team’s bowl games?

The one that realizes your team had the literal worst schedule in the country?

Well I tell you what, try winning the AAC and maybe you will get a chance.

Its almost like you have absolutely no idea about anything related to college football.

How did winning the AAC workout for SMU this year?

Highest ranked G5 gets an NY6. That was Liberty.

No no no. That can’t be right. The “fiesta bowl committee” chose liberty over all other possibilities, renember?

No amount of wishcasting by you will change the fact that Liberty had the worst schedule in the country and did not deserve this bowl bid. The committee used one set of rules and reasons to keep fsu out of the playoff, and the complete opposite set of rules and reasons to make liberty the highest ranked G5 team. That decision wasn’t justified after the fsu bowl game, the Tulane bowl game, the SMU bowl gane, or the liberty bowl game. It was still the wrong decision.

Yeah, he’s an all-time Duck in my opinion. He’s nothing but a class act.
I am on the 8:20 flight to Houston and he is on it as well. Immediately recognized him and congratulated him on a great game and career (while wearing my Liberty polo). He was very humble and gracious and said thanks. Great kid. Best wishes to him in the NFL.

You were posting pictures from the stands, but you also took the time to respond to damn near evey comment in this thread. Did you even watch the game? Seems like a weird way to spend the most notable 4 hours in the history of your team's football program

There are a lot of breaks in the game. They do promotional giveaways, etc. And I came knowing we were going to catch a beat down. It is not hard to do.
