If you play football you will get run over. Collins was off balance on that play (falling off balance) and Thomas did make some nice cuts getting people off balance. Then Collins carried 3 times on 78 yards on 1 drive and ran all over Catholic's defense. Thomas is a college running back at some level although his size might keep him out of Division I. I was impressed with him. I see why Weiner didn't want him to go to Parkview. He is their whole offense.

I realized Catholic got beat, but it was fun to see Khalil Thomas, their 175 lb. running back, run clear through and over Landon Collins.

Collins congratulated him right after the play and then ran completely through their defense in next offensive series....Character, determination and ability.

Actually it was the first time I got to see him play this year, and I got the impression that the only reason he's a 5-Star recruit is because they don't give a Sixth Star

Won't what?

If chalmette jumps central for the 32nd spot, which they may, central will still get in over them as a result of getting the auto bid from district 4-5A

they could have been district champs outside the top 32

might not matter as rummel might give us an extra 0.1111 point and jesuit might boot west jeff from the bracket

30th West Jeff (7-2) 11.565
31st Sulphur (5-5) 11.244
32nd Chalmette (6-4) 11.153
33rd Central (6-4) 10.900

LINK

i don't think these ratings include saturday results

Looks like a St. Pauls/WM bracket and a Byrd/Jesuit bracket, as we expected.

WM vs. Byrd/Jesuit winner in the dome IMO.

A Rummel win today would knock WM down to 6.

That would still keep them in the 1/4 bracket, right? That's where they want to be IMO. The 2/3 bracket looks tougher to me.

No 6 is bottom. Also ken has Ouachita at 11 which would put them at WM week 2.

Do you look at the power ratings on the left or right? I dont see how West Monroe could jump over Jesuit.

There are a few games to be played today. There may be a forfeit or two that people don't know about yet. The brackets are close right now, but one game can change who you play in a heartbeat. Especially when calculating teams that only play 9 games as opposed to 10 games and how that effects their opponents power rankings. Fractions of a point can slide you up or down in the rankings.

But it's still fun to speculate.

The QB is starting to get the ball to Shelby Christy on a more consistent basis. Christy is on LSU's radar according to the recruiting board. He has the potential to burn a secondary if they just key the entire defense on Collins.
