I vaguely remember a couple of years ago, the St. James coach announced that he was retiring at the end of the next year, and then the superintendent either fired him or transferred him before he could do it, and then the program has hit the skids ever since.

Catholic looks good. Needs to get a quick start on the Griffins. It will be a great game for all of the marbles.

"The Battle of Nashville Avenue" - McMain (6-2) vs Lusher (5-3) tonight in a huge 10-3A showdown. After Reed's upset win over Lusher last week, this game took on lesser meaning. It was discovered that Reed was playing with ineligible players and Lusher gained the victory back. Now, the 10-3A title is on the line as McMain looks to win the district title for the second straight year.

The New Orleans metro area's leading passer, Omari Jones (2,108, 134-232-3, 30 TDs), along with the top two leading receivers in area, Michael Andrade (66-901, 11 TDs) and Khalil Smith (47-987, 14 TDs), lead the high powered Mustangs offense against the "Pride of Uptown" the Bob Lusher Fighting Louis Landrum's.

Congrats to live oak, hope no One gets injured when Central returns punts. Last year on one punt return, 3 live oak players got blown up.

5-3A is stacked again I see. They have 3 or 4 teams in the top 10 of the power rankings last I checked.

ETA: And wtf is up with Redemptorist? I find it hard to believe they are 0-8

If a team wins 4 games and wins district is it auto into playoffs? Or do they HAVE to be power ranked 32 and above? Who decides this power rankings?

I am from out of state and never figured out how this works.

Win district automatically in even if they are tied

If they are tied, both teams get in

They seed 32 teams from there
