When I walked across the field before the game and it was soaked, with the grass coming over my boots, I knew we were in trouble. Former frog ponds and turf shoes don’t really fit well. WM was on skates all night.

Ponchatoula should’ve won that game by more. They came out and just dominated the LOS the entire night. They deserved that victory. They just flat out wanted it more.

It was the only time West Monroe played on grass all year. The question is, with our recourses why don’t we have cleats with changeable screw ins for games like that?

I guess West Monroe should push to play Pineville in Pineville every year. Thaet are the only team with grass that we’ve played since Ponchatoula. What does Dutchtown have?

We don’t wear old school turf nubs. They’re cleats. They’re just not very long. This year they’re longer. It’s very difficult to even find new detachable cleats. Everyone plays on turf.

Dutchtown plays on grass. Field got tore up a few weeks ago during the rainstorm/Catholic game.

There isn't supposed to be any rain this week down here. I don't think it's rained in Ascension since around Wednesday.
