Yeah. Coach must have gotten into their ears.

The offense woke up.

These radio announcers are tough to listen to.

Welsh score. Greyhounds up 38-8. That'll probably do it.

Welsh fumbles, SH has the ball at their own 21 yard line. 8 mins left. If SH had an accurate QB they would be in this game. Their receivers are beating Welsh deep a lot, but he's about as accurate as Jordan Jefferson

This quarterback is headed to grambling? Shocked they offered. Possibly a DB or receiver? That is what I assume.

He is horrible.

26-38

If Welsh don’t score that TD this onside with 1:58 would be epic

Yes he is, they have no structure to their offense. Just heave the ball down field and pray they catch it is pretty much what they do. As I say that they just did it again and got lucky catching one at the 2 yard line

Hats off to that QB

Carried that team hurt. I have a ton of respect for the way they fought in the 2nd half

Helluva second half.

Congrats to the Hounds. First State Championship in school history... on the day it snowed in New Orleans.

Seems appropriate.

I traveled in that snow! What a day! SNOW BOWL CHAMPIONS!!!

GO HOUNDS

Also to the guy that talked about St Helena’s injuries, I def feel for the kid who could be paralyzed, but we have had our fair share of injuries including our best RB getting his ACL/MCL torn and he still went out and played a few plays tonight! What a beast

I'd be surprised if a Karr graduate could wipe their own arse, but best of luck with the game regardless.

Recap for each one of the Thursday games:

https://www.dandydon.com/2017_LHSAA_Championships_1.php

Division III - Catholic High (NI) 33, Notre Dame 16

The nightcap saw Catholic defeat Notre Dame 33-16 for the Division III Championship in the most one-sided game of the day. Ben Landry finished off a methodical opening drive that saw Catholic convert a 4th and 6 to put the Panthers up 6-0 after the missed PAT. Notre Dame could not slow down Catholic’s rushing attack on the ensuing drive, as Catholic’s Diallo Landry capped a scoring drive where running back Jaden Stokes carved up the Pioneers defense. Catholic’s momentum continued when an interception put the Panthers inside the 10-yard line, but Notre Dame blocked a field goal attempt to end a fast-paced first quarter. Notre Dame put together its most promising drive of the season and turned a field goal block into its own field goal to reduce Catholic’s lead to 10. John William Lamm nailed the field goal for the Pioneers, but Samuel Robichaux hit two more field goals for Catholic to give the Panthers a 19-3 halftime lead. Notre Dame didn’t do itself any favors starting the half with a fumble, and Catholic made the Pioneers pay with a Stokes 45-yard touchdown run. With the score 26-3, Notre Dame didn’t go down without a fight as the Pios scored on the ensuing drive. Waylon Bourgeois scored from a yard out. But Catholic’s rush attack could not be contained. Landry went 44 yards to the house on the very next drive to regain the Panthers a 23-point lead. After 13 minutes of no scoring, Bourgeois found the end zone from two yards out to reduce the Panthers’ lead to 17. Notre Dame turned the ball over five times in the loss.
