The "pundits" always like the Mets.
And the Mets always "Mets" it up. B/c they're the fricking Mets.
Saying that, I can see them getting a WC. I have them winning one. But no way are they winning the East.

I mean the Mets have as much talent as the Braves they've just never put it together. In the shortened season last year the Mets offense was actually better in many areas despite the Braves having Freeman, Ozuna, and Acuna

What?
The Braves scored the 2nd most runs in baseball last year. Only the Dodgers scored more. And that was w/Acuna getting off to a slow start and Ozzie being hurt. Imagine if Ozzie had been healthy? The Braves would of scored the most runs in the league.
And the entire offense is back. And Ozzie is healthy.
Bad take is bad.

Mets had a highest OPS+ led MLB in BA (doesn't mean much) and tied the Dodgers with the highest wRC+

Runs are runs, baw. You win by scoring more than the other team. And the Braves did that more than any other team outside of the Dodgers.
SABR has its place, but not in this argument. The Mets offense can't hold a candle to the Braves offense. One guy won the MVP(Freddie) and another was in the running for a Triple Crown(Ozuna).

Cool one team scores more runs... Score 20 in one game and lose next 3 other team scores 9 runs in those three wins.... But you scored more runs over the series that is what matters right?
