Professional baseball players should play baseball. Not that it matters to them at all, but I have lost respect for DJ and Walt Weiss. And I'm sure his teammates have too. And I would have lost respect for pride87 in this thread. if I had any to begin with.
His opinion is shite. But not that I expect more from a tennis player who thinks he understands team sports.

Can't say I agree with your opinion here, shel. League minimums are instituted for a reason. Both qualify with at least 3.1 plate appearances per game. Is it lame? Sure, but it does not diminish the accomplishment.
Also, I have no issue with Murphy sitting. The Nationals have to do what is best to ready him for the playoffs.

No, he's going to win the batting title because he had more hits in more at bats in more games played.
Why should LeMahieu play and risk losing the batting title to a guy who has two pinch hit abs in the last two weeks?
