Are you going on record that you as a fake laker fan would rather have LeBron/AD over Kawhi/PG?
Everyone in the world have taken Lebron/AD over Kawhi/PG at the beginning of both these deals.
Lebron>Kawhi
AD>>>>> PG
(At the time)
Would someone do the same now? Probably not, but that was also kind of obvious that Kawhi/PG would be better in 3-4 years after Lebron aged out of his prime.
Lakers got a ring out of it. I’m sure they would’ve rather more consistency and higher overall performance considering the other 2 years of Lebron/AD were meh to bad. But 1 ring in 3 years would meet even the loftiest of expectations.
Clippers haven’t won anything. But you have the better duo going forward, while currently being an 8 seed without legit championship hopes. If that’s worth beating your chest, then congrats?

Right about now, I bet they wish a roster comprised of just their non-stars could be 7th in the west.
The Lakers are 11th and they weren’t much better when AD and LeBron were playing.

Well LeBron is not better than Kawhi
PG is way better than AD
Getting 1 ring and destroying the franchise is something no real laker fan would ever say. Only LeBron blowers
We will be favored to win the title next year and if Kawhi comes back we are favored even as the 8th seed
The Clippers are stacked with one of the best management teams in the leaugue plus a new stadium
The lakers have beaten the Clippers like 7 times in the last 10yrs
The Lakers are looking at another decade of missing the playoffs but i guess that disney ring was worth it

A healthy Kawhi topped LeBron.
One could argue peak Kawhi was better than Peak LeBron. But defining his peak is a little tricky, given his all time playoff run in 2019

Right now the Clippers have the 12th best odds at +4000
Kawhi or not, you’re not going to be favorites.
And making that claim for next year is equally absurd as neither of us have any idea what the odds will be. I’d wager they definitely aren’t the favorites. I’m bookmarking and will bump this immediately after the finals when new odds for next year come out. You’ll ignore it, being wrong isn’t new territory to you (remember the Clippers/Lakers takes you had the year the Lakers won it all?). But I’ll bump it, nonetheless.

Projecting things out for a decade is silly. NBA is so easy to get out of a bad situation when you can attract FA’s, which the Lakers objectively can. They look bad for 2, maybe 3 years, but they could easily shed bad contracts and restart. Looking beyond that is a complete guessing game.
Your entire argument is boiled down to “The Clippers might win something of significance with Kawhi/PG. The Lakers did win something but I personally choose not to count it. Also, here’s a baseless claim about the far future of the organization that can’t be proved or disproved so let me throw it at the wall also. Clearly the Clippers got the better duo.”

The Clippers have a 1 year window. The youth of the West is still coming and the Warriors rebuilt on the fly.
The Lakers are done unless LeBron moves to an off ball /supportive role.

The Lakers havent had one star other than LeBron sign wuth them in a decade
No one wants to play for Jeannie Rambis

umm with Norm Powell, PG and Kawhi back they will be the favorites despite your hatred
Maybe you just don’t know how odds work. Odds already factor in potential returns. Their odds may go up, they aren’t going up to first. Again, I’ll bump when they do, and you’ll ignore. But at least you’ll have the information in case you ever decide you want to change and not keep throwing ridiculously wrong claims at the wall

Umm no one knows what Kawhis status is
You can bump what you want
I will bump this every year that the Lakers do not sign a star

A player needs to play in 58 games to be eligible for scoring title.
Imagine constantly comparing himself to Jordan while at the same time ev en dreaming of accepting a scoring title with 58 games played out of 82 when only three times in his 10 straight scoring title seasons did Jordan miss any games, and that was only 1 game in 88-89, 2 games in 91-92 and 4 games in 92-93. shite, Jordan played a full slate of 82 games his final season in DC at 39-40 years old and averaged 20 per.
Think about Ted Williams going into his final double header of the season at .3995 and able to sit out and preserve his .400 statistical average for the 1941 season, but instead playing BOTH GAMES of the series going 6 for 8 and finishing at .406. Imagine LeBron deciding to do that?
Posted on 4/9/22 at 12:26 pm to PeteRose
If he played.. this title would be, lebron is selfish and just wanted the scoring title

Oh okay, yeah you don’t know how oddsmakers operate.
Just because Kawhi’s status is unknown, does not mean the oddsmakers said “well if he plays, they’ll be favorite. But with him being uncertain, let’s make them +4000”
Next time just say you don’t understand something

Ban bet?
If Kawhi and PG return for the playoffs, and Clippers are odds on title favorites, I’ll ban myself. If they still aren’t the odds on favorite, you ban yourself.
If they don’t return, we can apply the bet to next year’s opening odds.
If the Clippers aren’t the initial odds-on title favorite when odds get released for next season, right after this season concludes, you ban yourself. If they are odds on-favorites for next year, I’ll ban myself.
I have no idea what I’m talking about, sounds like an easy bet for you.
