And Lebron still dominates. What do you think he would've done in the 80s?

He would have got hammered to the floor on most of the free passes he gets to the hoop right now. If he thinks his elbow hurts now...

They played better basketball in the 80s and 90s. They were better all around shooters and defensive players, and they still had to dribble the ball when they drove the lane.

MIke wins cause he's meaner, and there are no refs in a one-on-one game. Forearm shivers to the kidneys for the win.

Where did the mid range jumper go?

lebron would've been equally as quick and strong to the rack back then.

James is a great and dominate player no doubt. To continue to say that he is as quick or fast as Jordan is just rediculous. It cheapens your whole argument for the one on one.

If LeBron played in the 80's against the likes of a team like the Bad Boy Pistons LeBron would be irrevelant. There is no way those teams would let LeBron just drive to the hole like he does now. There was no such thing as a Flagrant 1 or 2 back then. So I suspect it would amount to alot of elbows to the chest for Lebron. Midrange jumpers was the name of the game in the NBA back then. If you didn't have one it didn't matter how atheletic you were u wouldn't be worth a damn ala Isiah Rider

He would have gotten taken to the ground about 5 times when he tried to bull rush the basket, started to whine and bitch, and then started bricking 3s.

he's faster than jordan in a foot race no doubt. dude is fricking train. quickness i'd give the edge to jordan.

but the point is that lebron is quick enough to recover. jumps high enough to recover and is tall enough to recover.

but you're acting like Jordan is the quickest player to play in basketball. That's not even fricking close. Iverson. CP3. Derrick Rose are all as quick as Jordan. DWade is as quick as Jordan.

Jordan was super quick and athletic for his size and had amazing hops. But he's not the best athlete in the history of the world. You're stuck in the glory days.

That's the reason Dominque has zero rings. Think back even the big men had nice midrange games. Ewing, Malone, The Dream etc etc. And speaking of big men the NBA has no more so that kinda slants things too. I don't consider Dwight Howard a big man he's too soft

Actually, Dominique had zero rings because he never once played with an all star caliber player along side him.

Yet somehow he still made the playoffs.

Bill Laimbeer would have clotheslined Lebron before letting him dunk on him.

Peej, I'm sorry. I'll defer to you on some things. But NBA basketball, past or present will not be one of them.
