To think that in his prime Jordan couldnt drive past James for dunks and layups is crazy. James is quick for big man but no way he stays in front of Jordan. Also, when did backing down into the post become his game. He really isnt very good at this yet.

Yeah one-on-one where getting in someone's head and throwing them off their game is a fricking art form.

As far as the physical, Jordan was 6'5 and Lebron is 6'7. That's not Shaq versus Mugsy Bogues. And as far as reach....I'm pretty sure they are a lot closer.

No. Lebron is 6'9. He measure 6'8 without shoes when he was 18 and about to be drafted. He grew an inch post draft as 18 year olds sometimes do.

For what it is worth, I bet Dwane Wade would be a mother fricker to deal with one on one. His game might be more suited to 1 on 1 then both these guys.

Better defense wins. Jordan was the better defensive player than Lebron and throughout his career averaged more steals and BLOCKS than the bigger Lebron.

in a team setting? in a normal game? yes

but 1-on-1 things change

He measure at 6'7 and a quarter. Jordan was 6'5 and a half without shoes close to 6'6 with. So if you want to add an inch for the shoes I'd asy 6'8 v 6'6.

Yeah, like I mentioned before There are probably quite a few guys that never touched the NBA and no one has ever heard of that could beat anyone mentioned 1 on 1. It really is a different game.

again, you are thinking of a team context. Wade goes the basket as well as anyone I have ever seen play basketball. He would be really good at 1 on 1

Lebron's grown an inch. Well documented.

Besides, it's still two inches. And the more important thing is the 50 lbs.

Jordan would score on him almost EVERY time he touched the ball.

Lebron is taller than Antawn Jamison, who's listed at 6'9. Now I don't think Lebron is taller than Jamison's listed height, but I do believe he's a legit 6'9

Yeah I think people are thinking of the late 90s Jordan and not the late 80s Jordan. When he was 26-28 years old there is no one who has ever played basketball that could have stopped Jordan from getting to the basket whenever and however he wanted.

Jordan could shoot over Wade. Because Jordan has two inches on Wade.

He couldn't shoot as easily over Lebron.

there was no one at that time who could've.
but there's no one who can stop lebron now.

why do people have a hard time realizing this?

Agree with this. Wades defense would be a joke on either Jordan or Lebron.

Late 80's Jordan would drive around James like he was standing still. No one was quicker or stronger to the rack.

Air Jordan, the man could fricking fly!!

What I posted were their pre draft measurements. They are rarely inflated.

except that was in the late 80s. and lebron would've been equally as quick and strong to the rack back then.

god you guys are thickheaded.
the athletes in the nba now are in much better shape than the ones in teh 80s. they have better training help. they have access to better nutrition. better medicine. the average height of every position has gone up an inch and half.

And Lebron still dominates. What do you think he would've done in the 80s?

Youre wrong here. The 80's Celtics or Showtime Lakers would beat any team for the Championship this year. Ill throw in the Pistons. All six Bulls teams were better than this years bunch.
