How is Leach "awesome" as a coach? He has ran average to above average programs everywhere he's been this far and that isn't going to change at state. Sure, he's entertaining as a personality, but let's not build him up to be some sort of elite coach, bc he isn't and his track record proves just that. He is at state, historically the worst team in the sec west and in the bottom quarter of football programs in the conference as a whole historically. He is going to be in for a huge surprise having to compete against sec defenses week in and week out with less talent that damn near every team they play in conference. Good luck with that shite.

He had relative success at Texas Tech and Oregon St. He runs a fun offense and has an oddball personality. No, State isn’t going to win the West but at least it’ll be more interesting.
