No one knows that any school's class will amount to anything. I am just saying there was thread after thread of folks trying to understand how Kif pulled in the class he did.

I have a good feeling about this season. Next two seasons after that the schollie limits will hurt us, but success this season will bring in good recruits.

Lane Kiffen confirms everything I have always believed about USC , it's administration and it's fanbase.

USC would have beaten ND last year if they didn't have to play Mustain.

ND played a true freshman in that game at QB because Crist was out for the year - and that true FR was a pretty lowly rated recruit, so it was pretty shocking to me that Kiffin couldn't win that game.

I think SC will better this year only if Kiffin decides to have more physical practices last year. I knew they were in trouble before last season when I read that they were having "light" practices in order to avoid the risk of injuries.

They need to be more physical this year - basically, the teams they lost to last year - Oregon, Stanford, ND, Washington - were more physical than USC.

That game made me sick. Ronald Johnson dropped a pass for what probably would have been the win only slightly behind him with nothing between him and the endzone. This with about one minute left. This would have kept ND winless against SC for the 9th straight year.

But, you are right. ND out-muscled them all around. But I jumped out of my seat with excitement when the pass was on line to Ro Jo for the win.

Let me preface this by saying, what I'm about to post is not in the least bit sarcastic.

Kiffin is a baller. Recruits/players love him, and he's an elite play caller. USC will win as long as he's there. Once the sanctions are finished watch out. USC will be back to being the premier team in all of college football.

You can't sanction the end zone.

He has his moments, but there are times (ucla/tennessee game at Knoxville) that make you think "What the hell is he doing?".

Other times, like the USC vs. Michigan Rose Bowl when he called nothing but passes in the 2nd half and we rolled the Wolverines, well that was brilliant.

Sometimes Kiffin overthinks things with playcalling, IMO, but he teaches offensive fundamentals exremetly well. Our offensive players pretty much all played well over their head the year he was here.

He leaves everything defense to his dad. Doesn't touch it.
