Dooley is smart enough to recongnize that Auburn was nothing more than a sinking ship. I don't believe he was even offered the job to begin with

Heard a caller on Finebaum mention that LA Tech was "returning like 18 starters or something, and Auburn better be ready". That's why I asked

this is the same LA Tech that beat Mississippi State by 8 points in the season opener last year.

LOL I think that's kinda my point... Auburn beat Mississippi State 3-2 last year. Literally... 3-2.

ETA: Just in case you didn't know, he was a walk-on WR at the University of Virginia. Three bowl appearances and an ACC championship during his years.

I could see him going to UVA being an alum. I have also heard from people that have worked with him they expect him to stay longer than most people expect because he has projects that he is getting started at Tech that he would like to see completed.
