Sure it can. Just mighty convenient that he's suddenly refusing to play now.

How is him sitting out convenient?

It would be one thing if he was pulling a Rapinoe and speaking out against the flag for the first time while still receiving the benefits of playing, but that is not what is happening here.

So black people hate the confederate flag and the union flag now? Cool.

Who do you think would say “this player is athletically talented enough for me to pay him millions of dollars” but won’t bc he doesn’t like the state flag of Mississippi?

The state flag of Mississippi is not the US flag and literally zero NFL owners are from Mississippi

Don't pull his scholly.

Just don't let him dress.

See how he likes being out of the spotlight

Oh no. . .he'll dress.

He wants to be on the sidelines, doing his anthem kneeling, interviewing and posturing for the cameras.

Tell him he can't dress, or be on the sidelines. . .his silliness would be squashed in a couple weeks

The University can't change the State's flag. Punishing his teammates for something they have no say over, is the height of silliness.

Why do you think Mike Leach will care more about the state flag of Mississippi than having a 1300 yard rusher starting for him?

He is an nfl calibre player, but if he sits out the whole season he will plummet down draft boards in favor of players with recent film

Why do you think Leach or MSU can change the State's flag, son?

I don’t think Leach can do anything regarding the Flag.

I just think he cares more about winning football games than what the state flag of Mississippi is.

So then why should he focus time on that, which he has no control over, rather than spending more time trying to help young black men become millionaires by doing his job.

He’s got plenty of film already & as a RB his draft status is much dependent on his combine or pro day #s.

Just strange that he would choose this university in this state with that flag then all of a sudden start demanding they change it.

Most 17 year olds don't think about this type of thing.

He’s full of shite. He was born and raised in Mississippi so he knew the flag for years. If it really bothered him that much he would have enrolled out of state.

Born and raised in Mississippi.

Chose to go to school in Mississippi over plenty of out of state choices.

Chose to pass on leaving for the nfl this year to return to school and spend another year in Mississippi.

Yes, he’s full of shite.
