Heavyweights are just so hard to find...
It's tough too because when a heavy has any talent at all, he blows through small competition and is rushed to the big show...
They don't have the "luxury" of waiting their turn, putting in their dues, and becoming proficient at the the sport.
By the time a lightweight makes it, he has significant experience and has shown skills necessary to hang.
An athletic heavy, like Shawn Jordan for example, gets 6 pro fights and big shows are callin to get him lined up in near future.
It's tough

Agreed. Also very athletic guys of that size have a lot more opportunities in other sports to succeed than guys in the smaller weight classes for the most part.
