I need a refresher on horse betting. It doesn't matter what odds you get beforehand, only what the horses number closes at right at the start of the race, correct?
If I place a wager on Hot Rod Charlie at 9/1 now but he drops to 7/1 and wins, I will only get the 7/1 return?
