Business tats. Smart move for marketability. Dude loves his ink but doesn't force people to look at it when he's on the court or on TV.

Yeah, those tats have KILLED LeBron and his marketability...

When did I say that they didn't?

And the person that I was responding to was not talking about Birdman.

I wouldn't say killed but I'm sure there's a segment of the population that views them unfavorably; maybe view then as a sign of one who may be a "thug".

And we all know Birdman gets a pass on these kinds of things because stuff he does can make him "fun" and "quirky" but would make other players look like "gangsters."

Honestly, I think that's only a small part of it. Something about Birdman's personality just draws people to him and makes people love him and forgive his faults. This is the 3rd fanbase that's just fallen head-over-heels in love with the guy in spite of relatively meager production. I am part of one of those fanbases.

Didn't say those were my views. Do you seriously think that isn't the case for a segment of people?

I think his point is nobody watches LeBron in the Samsung Galaxy commercial and goes: Thug POS.

Much like Rodman, IMO (during his playing career)
