One read QB

Sadly NFL GMs are stupid and keep giving these guys contracts

Also speaks volumes for the state of the QB in NFL nowadays if these types will win out

When the Steelers lowball a player, other GMs should take note. The Steelers have not had great drafts lately, but they are still great at in-house talent evaluation and don't overpay for what they get in return.

That's one way to spin the QB situation since Ben retired.

Yeah, it’s been shite. But they didn’t waste any time getting rid of Pickett when they knew he wouldn’t work out. Unfortunately, top QB’s aren’t simple to come by.

How many ex-Steeler players have had a lot of success once they left the franchise? They are pretty good at roster evaluation and cap management. Now, they just need get things straight on draft day.

Tough to do with no QB but you still manage to win 8-9 games a year

I bolded the last sentence b/c I think things are finally trending that way with the past 2 drafts, especially this year's. Khan has finally cleaned up most of Colbert's mess.

The one place he succeeded is a dumbed down (and I don't mean that as an insult btw) college offense where you may have 1, possibly 2, reads on a play and most of the time are going against vastly overmatched opponents.

Also didn't hurt having a boatload of NFL WR at his disposal there too.
