This is for both college and NFL.

Both teams get the ball at the opponent 25. 1st Team scores TD -->have to kick xp.

2nd team to score --->must go for 2.

Done! Only one OT needed. No one complains about not touching the ball. No one complains about OT being too long.

What if the first team misses the PAT and the 2nd team fails on 2 pt conversion?

Why not just play rock paper scissors. Best out of 3.

No, they should move the ball back every overtime.
1OT : ball at 25
2OT: ball at 30
3OT: ball at 35
and on and on

I think we should go with BASEketball rules and just have the teams do a sack race

It would be interesting if you got the ball second that you had to go for 2. It kind of evens the fact if you get it second you know the score you are playing for. Keep it where the team that gets the ball first has a choice.

I kind of like that change.

College football already has the best overtimes in sports; no need to change them.

The rules are fine in college. They just need to start from the 40 and not the 25
