It's painfully obvious over the last 15 years, that, unless you have access to elite talent... An lots of it... within about 3-6 hours of your campus, you can't win.

In saying that, there's still absolutely no reason Nebraska cannot follow the Iowa/Wisconsin model of fielding high-floor, low-ceiling programs that can compete for the Big 10 west every couple of years.

Nebraska can't get even get to bowl eligibility though, no one expects them to be elite again.

top 20-25 isn't elite, but yeah, they shouldn't be losing to unranked teams.

You would think a program like Nebraska could really take advantage of NIL with how rabid their fanbase is. Sure they could raise a lot of coin for their collective

Georgia Tech was once a good football program too.

They'd have to be paying double and triple other schools to get difference makers to live in Nebraska.
