I kinda agree it looks weird, but look at how much movement is happening. People are all over the place

First he just goes for the finger trace, but he gets nothing but phone. Out of shear desperation, he goes for it and delivers the backhanded tap with the other hand. Just one of these could be overlooked, but both together are pretty damning.

On one hand, he shouldn't of touched her arse in any fashion,

Honestly I kinda agree the more I see it. I think he’s just kind of swaying with all the bouncing around of everyone in a tight space. The finger thing just seems to be just some kind of reactionary thing instead of this intentional groping movement.
