The Turkoglu comparison is probably the best.
As far as style of play goes it is. If you read my comments, they both play with the ball with their hands a lot instead of running off screens and playing off the ball like a lot of the other guys mentioned.
I am not looking at the size of the guys, just the type of player they are. Turkoglu has the ball in his hands and either creates his own shot or shots for others. Fredette does the same.

a lot of players play with the ball in their hands. The fact that Tukoglu is 8 inches taller makes their game nothing alike. He can play 3 positions, shoot over people, finish in the lane, post up, etc etc
being 6'10" makes it a lot easier to come off screens and get a shot off, or create your own shot
you really think Fredette will be able to create his own shot in the NBA?>?f

Somewhat. If you read my initial post, I pointed out how it's going to be a huge transition for him coming from a system where he plays with the ball in his hands the whole time, to the nba where he has to play away from the ball a lot.
He has such a quick release and can shoot so well off the dribble, that he will be better at it than someone like Reddick, but he will have to get most of his looks coming off of screens without the ball.

He could be a good role player similar to Reddick.
This comparison is wrong. The only thing these two have in common is that they are both white and are good shooters. (Alot of players are good shooters)

He is the next Adam Morrison.

Luke Ridenour 2.0. Slightly less athletic, but a better shooter.

He's not a point guard but I think he does have a spot in the league. Might end up more like JJ Reddick though. He's not that quick but he does have great vision. I'm not sure he can keep up with the point guards in the league and he can't guard players at the 2.

No he is just going to suck in the NBA.

This is pretty overblown. He's not going to be an all-nba defender and he'll actually end up being below average, but he'll be a solid player. This debate happens every time there is a good white college player. He's not Steve Nash but he's not Jerry McNamara either, and I think his game is better suited for the NBA than Reddick, who has turned out to be a solid pro.

He's the white Acie Law. Will be a role player in the NBA.

really just goes to show you that you cant trust big time white scorers from small conferences, much less white guards at big time schools. When i watched Morrison play at Gonzaga, he was one of the best college basketball players i had ever seen.
i haven't been able to trust one since, and i dont think Jimmer will be any more than a role player. The odds are heavily, heavily stacked against him to be any more than that. People are caught up in the hype way too much

Adam Morrison was the least athletic guy I've ever seen play basketball. Not saying he wasn't a good college player, but it looked like he had a rod down his back and across his shoulders. Dude needed to skip a few weight sessions and go to a yoga class.

Ben Hansbrough will be a better NBA player than Jimmer.

He's a Nash like player with a ton of skill
only thing he has in common with nash is skin color

The chances that he has the exact same skin color and shading as Nash is pretty slim imo.

Overrated. They really need to get off his dick. They're playing Wofford for Christ's sake.
You know that wasn't their first game of the year don't you? He averaged like 28 a game in all the others.
