*At least, that's what SAS was implying on his show this morning, and why he let some idiot from Nashville say several times that Fisher has a problem with the "brotha" and wanted to cut the "brotha" McNair in favor of O'Donnell and Volek.

Yeah, that's what Young's problem is.

ETA: Yesterday (Tuesday) I heard him going on ad nauseum about the screw job Tavaris Jackson was getting from his new head coach who named Favre his starter. Always trying to hold a brotha down!

P.S. Whoever SAS was talking to did remind him that Jackson started twenty-something games for the Vikings and definitely had his chance. SAS' response was "yeah, but Harvin, Rice, etc." ...

I will say that it was pretty interesting hearing the completely opposite views of SAS on Fisher's credibility given his resume (not sure I agree, but that's another thread) versus Golic saying that it is all on Young.

I think Bud Adams is the reason Young is still on the team.

probably so.

from the outside, it appears that Vince Young is the centerpiece in a battle between coach and owner for decision-making of the Titans. i don't think race has a damn thing to do with it, but the race card is just so simple to pull.

The Oilers/Titans have had a black quarterback starting for most of the last 25 years dating back to W. Moon, S McNair

He's probably a street guy. Instead of saying ni**a he says brotha since he's on radio. Now if it wasn't a radio show he'd most likely say ni**a.

I like how they disregard the other 40 "brothas" that Fisher plays every week.

Last night I was watching the highlight show on NFL Network. After they showed the Titans highlights, Steve Mariucci said something to the effect of "This Vince Young situation is a shame because I want him to succeed."

"I want him to succeed" were his exact words.

Uhhhhhhh, isn't this EXACTLY what Rush Limbaugh got fired for? He said that the NFL wants Donovan McNabb to succeed. I don't like Rush Limbaugh, but that's exactly what I'm complaining about.

And my final point is this. When people in the media talk about people like Terrell Owens and Brandon Marshall, why don't they say that "It's a shame because I want him to succeed?"

Could it be because they're not quarterbacks?

Did he say "I want him to succeed because he's black?"

Limbaugh jabbed at the media for what he considered over-praising McNabb because he's black.

I have no idea what that has to do with a comment Mariucci made that could be twisted into something racially motivated if you're really reaching.

Care to venture a guess at why they have jobs no matter how much ignorant shite comes out of their mouths?

Does somebody want them to succeed?

Is he still around? No Fox Sports Radio in NY. I've seen him on news shows. If there wasn't a racial discussion he would nothing to say

I love how SAS was bashing Fisher cause he has never won a SB. And how its Fishers fault that Young has not progressed.

Deion Sanders personally got Dez White declared ineligible his final season at Oklahoma State by getting him in touch with his agent.

Michael Irvin got caught with a crack pipe in his car.

And they still have jobs.
