She had 16 Grand Slam championships in doubles, and was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2005.

Cervical cancer I believe

Vaccinate your kids guys, it could save their lives. Had a HS friend die at 29 last year from cervical cancer.

I know this is tongue-in-cheek, but there are many who feel this way. I've seen plenty die from this in my line of work, and it is terribly unpleasant. Fortunately vaccine is going to make a serious dent in this disease, especially with the second generation nine-valent version that came out a few years ago. It only takes one partner with the wrong HPV strain.

On the tennis side - she was a technically excellent dubs player. Great serve and volley player with one of the all-time great WTA backhands. Probably will be remembered as much as anything though, for her meltdown vs Stefi Graf at Wimbledon in a early '90s Ladies' Singles final. Very fun to watch, sad loss for the tennis world.
