He was the victim of the crime of collusion.
Was he? Or was he just not good enough for NFL teams to want to deal with his baggage? Or did he just refuse to sign offers as a backup or not show up to workouts with teams?
He’s made a lot of money as a martyr regardless

What policy?

I’m sure there’s a policy of social media and morality clause in his contract. Just like there is in any employment contract
The NFL/Redskins/Commanders can say that he brought embarrassment to them.

The dude has made millions as that “victim”. GTFO with that nonsense
But still, what I said is factually true. The nfl treated him so badly that it was illegal. The Commanders have not treated Del Rio illegally.

If the national anthem is political to you
So, politics out of sports? No American flag?

Here’s how his teammates reacted.

Kaepernick’s teammates voted him as the winner of the Len Eshmont Award as the 49ers player who best exemplifies the inspirational and courageous play of Len Eshmont. The award is considered the most prestigious team honor on which players vote.

Neither of those things are political

Didn’t realize geography was political. The more you know

Just admit it. Whenever someone “wants politics out of sports,” they mean they want politics that make them uncomfortable out of sports. The flag, anthem, and team names are examples of politics in sports, but they don’t make that person uncomfortable, so that’s ok.

I guess that’s why his lawsuit against the NFL went so well for him

They’re named after cities and states, so geography.

You’re not going to speak this into existence

Falcons, Lions, Bears and Bengals are political? Rams? Jets? Colts?

quote:Yes, two examples of political divisions. Just learn what the word means, dude.

The N.F.L. will pay considerably less than $10 million in its settlement of grievances filed by Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid, according to two people with knowledge of the agreement who were not authorized to speak publicly. Specifics of the settlement were not disclosed when the deal was reached Feb. 15, ending an 18-month standoff over claims by Kaepernick and Reid, former teammates with the San Francisco 49ers, that they had been denied jobs in the league because they knelt through the national anthem before games. They accused the league’s 32 teams of colluding to keep them out of the sport. Much of the settlement will cover the fees of lawyers representing Kaepernick and Reid, one of the people with the knowledge of the agreement said Thursday, and the players will receive smaller, roughly equal amounts.
So they got the NFL to pay their attorneys fees and signed an NDA. Huge victory
