It would be cool to see an NBA team full court press

I know the players are so good and fast that he press would likely get smoked and you’d look silly, but hell it’d be fun to watch.
If you are a 7 or 8 and overmatched why not try it? Worst case you get throttles which was probably going to happen anyway, best case it works and you rattle them and look like geniuses

Teams don't routinely press in the NBA for the same reasons teams don't run the option in the NFL. NBA players are too big, too fast and too skilled and they generally will eat it up and end up with tons of run out and fast break layups/dunks.
Add in the fact that it is exhausting and most teams lack the quality depth to even try it and it's just a terrible idea all the way around.

It’s like you responded to my post without actually reading it. Of course it isn’t sustainable and of course you are likely to get run out the gym.
But for a series or a few games in a series you’re about to lose? Why not give it a go? The Trailblazers for example, had nothing to lose by trying to press, they got swept either way, could’ve changed that

Just watch Lebron, he does the opposite of full court press. Just as fruitless as the press would be.

But again, your team is dog tired after the first quarter.
It works for some college teams that go 10 deep and have a talent advantage over most teams.

This would happen all the time:

I enjoyed it when Arkansas has full cross press back when they were a championship team.

Even the walkons got in on the fun.

Bump
the Pels press and traps last few minutes worked pretty damn well, I want to see a team try it for a whole game or a whole half

It would be awesome to see them press a college team, but no NBA team could press another NBA team for 48 mins due to skill, size and athleticism of the other NBA team lol

40 minutes of nonstop fouling. It was terrible basketball. I’m not sure why it was allowed to happen.
