I live up here and you couldn’t pay me to go to a game at Wisconsin or Minnesota or Michigan in January. I know some lunatics do it when the Packers are deep in the playoffs so maybe it’s my southern roots but sounds miserable

Yeah, its really not that difficult to expedite the season and cut down on BS games and bye weekends and get a football season in and have enough rest and recovery during the summer and then slightly delay a fall start.

can you imagine getting hurt in a spring season and missing two seasons instead of one? That's rare now. It would happen A LOT with a spring season. ACL tear in April/May of a spring season? Yeah, you're not suiting up until 2022. Not to mention the NFL isn't going to cater to CFB and delay the draft. You will see a massive number of juniors and seniors "opt out." There really is no point in a spring season. It's just an excuse and stall tactic because of the heat they got last week.

It’s about as possible as a man in a red suit giving toys to every child in the world in 1 night

We’re not talking about traveling through time here.

Football games played in the spring is absolutely possible. Will it be weird? Sure. Will it cause some re-shuffling and coordination and a few headaches? Sure. Will some players sit out? Sure....But it’s absolutely possible. And with over $1 billion at stake, they’ll absolutely try to figure it out if it gets to that point.

One could make a similar argument to playing football this fall.

Can't use long term health issues as a reason to postpone the fall season and then have college athletes play a Spring season followed by a Fall season a few months later.

While I think it’s inevitable that all the P5 move the season to Spring, and have for a while, I actually at this moment sincerely believe the SEC and ACC as of today plan to play this Fall.

The chances of spring CFB are already about .0000001 percent

The chances of spring CFB happening for some conferences while others play in the fall is 0.00000000

Yea it’s not even possible unless you maybe start in Jan and go to March

That’s not possible in big 10 country. I love snow football but February football would suck up there

the same arguments to cancel fall FB will exist in spring...maybe even more strongly

add in the fact that it's fricking 0 degrees and snowy and the close proximity to 2021 fall and...no weay

I mean I get it...there’s obviously tons of hurdles. But that % is just wrong. If they can’t play in the fall, of course they will try to play in the spring.

Playing in the spring is not impossible. Not even close to impossible.

nope, its a ploy by the confrences that want to cancel to keep their teams from competing in another confrence this fall.

When spring comes around thry will cancel in the name of player safety, which is correct because it is idiotic to attempt 2 seasons in less than 10 months.

No senior or early drafted in their right mind will play a spring season

No they won’t

There’s just no feasible way to fit 2 CFB seasons into 1 calendar year

As SFP has said, it’s just a carrot at the end of a stick that leads nowhere

It’s all about the $$$ and there’s nothing wrong with that.

They will make every effort to get as much of the 2020 season in at some point. Will it happen? Maybe not... but they’ll certainly try.

Then they wouldn’t be cancelling right now
