Wilson is obviously better than both, that wasn't my point. My point was that the Seahawks winning a title isn't indicative of Wilson's skill level, because Seattle wins like the Bucs and Ravens of the early 2000s
My point is Wilson has 63% completion, averages 270 yards a game, barely ever turns the ball over, and scores about 2 tds a game on average. That is ELITE and has nothing to do with his teams defense. And he does this without any true Wrs. So you are telling me if he goes to another team he all of a sudden will turn into a retard?

Russel Wilson is not Elite and certainly isn't worth $20 million to Seattle.

I disagree completely. Best rushing QB, 2nd least turnover prone qb, highly accurate, strong arm. How one says he isnt elite is crazy talk

Here it is people aside from emotions and name-calling,

Winning is a team concept. This includes offense, defense, st, coaching

Qb ranking is an individual thing. Arm strength, footwork, accuracy

So when people argue for Wilson, they use the logic Wilson = winner = worth the money.

When people argue against Wilson, they use the logic Wilson less skill than elite qbs(Rodgers, brady, manning) therefore worth less.

I would put Wilson in 2nd tier. He's good but not elite. He's a winner but his team has a lot good pkayers(multiple all-pros). Put Wilson on kc, Indy, sd and these teams are not contenders. If you put Rodgers, brady on them, those teams are contenders.

Still I would take Wilson ahead of dalton, cutler because he has good attitude and doesn't make many mistakes.

He isn't forced to win games for his team. Easy to be efficient when you are, at best, the third most important factor on your team.

Elite QB's are the #1 factor on their team. Replace Wilson with nearly any other starting QB in the league and Seattle is still a playoff team.

Not to mention, you can get exponentially better value for less than half of $20 million than keeping Wilson.

Wilson has a cannon, is accurate, and is the best runner at the QB position. His skill levels are elite. I agree that using teams stats to judge a QB is not correct. But using a team as a negative agaisnt a QB is just as stupid

This.

Ahead of Dalton, certainly. Cutler....I think Cutler's attitude stems from playing on an organization that doesn't seem like it gives a shite about him. That and he has been getting plastered every other drop back.

Hard to stay motivated at your job when your coworkers and boss don't give a shite.

Catch 22 I guess. His attitude I think would improve on a team that actually cared. But we will never know.

So they can get rid of Wilson and easily win a Super bowl and possibly two in a row with someone else?

All but one of Bradys super bowls he was factor #2

Pay him the $20 mil then.

Personally he seems like a great guy. Not knocking him on that level. But Seattle would be ignorant to pay him $20 million. They could be more of a contender with another QB at half the price.

With Wilson @ $20 mil, they are less of a contender than the above option.

Seriously, pay him the $20 million.

You and Wilson can be butt buddies at your house during the playoffs, since he won't be playing in them without the defense and run game they just lost due to his contract

Wilson is a huge part of this team. Instead a 12-4 record in the regular season, we're probably a 9-7 team with a mediocre QB.

And the defense isn't losing anybody we currently have due to his upcoming contract. Sherman, Thomas, Chancellor, Wright, Bennett, and Avril are all locked up for multiple seasons. Wagner will be extended this offseason as well. I guess Maxwell and Irvin could go because of it, but the studs are all locked up.

If your team is down 21, Wilson cannot make a comeback for you.

And about using a team as a negative qb is not stupid. We are trying to rate his skill set. Just like if we are judging enmith smith vs barry sanders, we have to compare the offensive lines they run behind and take that into equation. It's not personal, it's just part of the process.

His skill set is very very very good. Accurate, elite arm strength, best runner in the league, great decision making. What leads you to believe he would fail at throwing it 40 times a game? It makes no sense that people think he would fall apart

So when he attempts 25 passes a game he is accurate as anyone, with great decsions, and the ability to extend the pocket and lead the league in rushing. But at 35 attempts it is a guarantee those last 10 attempts would be 0 yards, 6 incompletions, and 4 ints amiright?

20 of those 25 passes are 5-10 yards past the LOS

Oh really? Want to look up where he ranks on passes greater than 15 yds?
