Bills and Allen last year rolled through everybody with their offense with Shakir as their top WR…

Elite QBs rolls no matter what. The last few years for Mahomes he has been very meh. It’s been very strange and completely unexpected

Until they rolled into Mahomes again. And yeah, they got screwed with the spot I think, but the point is Mahomes still beat them.

It's not the worst WR room in the league, but it's in the lower half.

Last year the chiefs had the 12th scoring offense Bills had the 2nd

Chiefs we’re 14th in scoring offense on 2023

But yes, the chiefs defense is elite and wins games for them. Not sure why that has any point on a thread about QB play?

Chiefs are completely average the last two years on the offensive side of the ball , you know the unit Mahomes actually plays on?

Find years for me where Brady, brees, manning etc had scoring offenses that bad , especially consecutively

Mahomes is not elite the last few years. He isn’t. He leads a middle of the pack nfl offense and leans and prays for great defense to win

This is where you lost it.

You're saying Allen is better, which I don't necessarily even disagree with, but that Mahomes is meh.

One of them keeps losing to the other and it isn't Mahomes. And they haven't been defensive slugfests.

Elite QBs don’t have middle of the pack offenses regardless of their supporting cast

He hasn’t been elite the past few years

Did you watch the game tonight? He’s incredible

I watched him run to the right and take what the defense gave him.

I also saw him complete some deep shots into broken coverage.

He played well but I don’t think it was anything that a number of other guys in the league couldn’t do.

My question is how many years of average to slightly above average stats before the Mahomes shine starts to fade a bit or has the media created armor around him that will never be penetrated regardless of play.

It never will for people that count a 17-14 win where the qb has 140 yards and 1 TD as an elite performance because he won

Yeah I heard this about Brady too. And he just kept winning. Stats aren't the end all be all.

No you didn’t, only once in his entire career, back in 2003 , did Brady ever have a scoring offense outside the top 10

Mahomes has now done it twice in a row in his prime

I don’t know what you saw but I’m just telling you Brady always led a top offense, he never was actually factually mediocre on offense like Mahomes has been these last two years

The “washed year” was 2013, where the Pats and Brady had the 3rd rank scoring offense….

Brady got labeled as washed like 3 different times.

Mahomes is 29. He could have a decade of good football left in him. The offensive weapons are doo doo this year. Pump the brakes on sticking a fork in him.

You’ve got retarded arse pride doing this because he’s a Bills fan, he has no clue what he’s actually talking about

Tell me the years and I’ll show you his scoring offense ranks

Go ahead

That’s the thing, people can say whatever they want, but Brady always ran elite offensive units. Mahomes the last few years is running middle of the pack nfl offenses. That’s what game managers do, not elite QBs

What about the last two years where his offense ranked 14th and 12th? At what point do you stop giving him a pass for not being able to run a good offense?

Your argument is essentially Peyton was elite his last season because “hurt durr Super Bowl”

Is this a thread about QB play or which team was better?

The fact fully developed human brains still can’t separate the two is wild to me

No, it turned into us laughing about the Bills consistently having one of the top offenses and having nothing to show for it. I’m sorry for any confusion.

Brees had elite passing numbers regardless of WR corps

He had a lot of volume numbers/empty stats too. Still a great qb.

The Chiefs basically forced the league to mass adopt two high looks and that forces everything underneath. I believe they are fine with the offense being a borderline top 10 offense because they’ve invested so heavily in their defense and figure Mahomes and can pull Ws out when needed. Still need to have their WRs healthy and on the field though.
