humor me. how many did he play in.
It think it is owed to me since so many people laughed when i said basketball & Lebron gets more exposure, more frequently.

WE'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT TV RATINGS AND COVERAGE FOR THE LAST FEW PAGES.
Sometimes I confuse soccer and basketball due to the influx of flopping. Manu!!!!!!

You really are trolling, aren't you? We gave you the aspects of a name brand, and then you scoff at that. We give you objective facts about the structure of the two sports, including ratings, and you go back to the name brand argument.
It got pretty obvious but the fish didn't stop biting.

No thanks. You are incapable of formulating a rational opinion on this matter so the argument is over.

ratings of the world cup does not prove Ranaldo's popularity. Im sorry, but it doesnt. Just because people tune into the World Cup does not mean he is a recognizable figure.
I just googled it and his team wasn't even in the final.

that's pretty convenient.

I honestly don't think he was at first because he is a clown. He might have morphed it into that and I'm sure he'll claim he was later on.

I will say that he has have played in over 60 games this season, each ten times more important than a NBA regular season game. Playoffs are a different animal, but they don't compare to the worldwide scale of the Champions League or EURO.
You are an idiot. No other way to put it.

Again, biggest player in biggest sport. This was an argument for the biggest sport.
He plays on the most valuable sports franchise on the planet.

you leave out a huge demographic with nearly every example. And im not using common sense? lol
So do you Marle, women.
Women care about Ronaldo. He is a celebrity on and off the field. He has dated superstars in the US and the world. I just googled Ronaldo's girlfriends and a list of 28 well-known women (some mostly in Europe) came up. The ones you would recognize: Maria Sharapova, Paris Hilton, and Kim Kardashian.
Ronaldo matters in the sports pages and the tabloids. He is matter in the world's version of ESPN and E! Lebron cannot compete with that exposure that Ronaldo receives from soccer fans and women.

By the end of the thread everyone jumped on the Ronaldo bandwagon. If only Messi had done more greased up underwear ads. He just can't compete.

you're pretty stupid if you think that is what i was arguing.
My point was, in terms of random recognizability, Lebron is more likely to be noticed by the general public.
I never once said basketball is bigger than soccer.

Colt McCoy is bigger in Cleveland.

His team lost in the semifinals.
It is like saying Kobe is insignificant because the Lakers did not make the Finals.
Beast, I am going to answer his question. Ronaldo played in 12 Champions League games. He will play in 5-6 in the EUROS. That is roughly the same number of important games of Lebron played in the playoffs.

Im not saying it makes him insignificant. More along the lines of the information being irrelevant.

why was this so hard to answer again?
I forgot my whole point with all the deflection. I must regroup.
