Lebron plays in the NBA. It is broadcasted in over 215 countries.

Right, you don't like that. Serious international competition of consequence happens 3 out of every 4 years. There is nothing remotely similar for basketball.

Ronaldo's matches...

ESPN and ESPN 2 will have a combined 10 or so of CR7's club matches this year.

ESPN will have 5 of his international team's matches at the least THIS MONTH.

Fox Soccer Channel and GolTV (on most cable/satellite sports packages) will make up the rest of his club matches this year, give or take a few.

And that's just in America.

right. Im not comparing the popularity of each sport worldwide.

because 46% of the nation watched the world cup finals, that means they all know who Ranaldo is?

The Champions League is broadcasted in over 250, close to 300 countries in the world...EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

I don't know if they're doing it this season, but DirecTV televised ALL La Liga games that weren't on ESPN or GolTV last season. All complimentary too. So in conclusion, America got to watch Ronaldo more times in the last year than the Hornets.

I love how you use the US as the metaphor for the world, but then you switch when it doesn't fit your argument.

FIFA games are broadcast in every single country in the world.

Ronaldo's games are broadcast just about everywhere in the world. Real Madrid are arguably the most popular sports team in the world. They may be surpassed by Barcelona or Manchester United (but that is not really significant, since they are also clubs).

Obviously, you are not going to use common sense in this thread. Lebron does not even have the best selling NBA jersey in the world. We could throw out a shite ton of facts and you will just ignore it. There is no reason to continue with this.

You seem like fricking PJ in this thread. That is pretty bad.

International competition doesn't even mean that much for Ronaldo honestly.

There is no direct analogy to an American sport, but Real Madrid is basically on the same level as the New York Yankees dude. They are the most decorated club in the most important sport in the world. Ronaldo is unequivocally the star of a team full of superstars. Soccer is the most watched sport in the world. I don't know why you don't just realize that you flat out don't know about this topic.

You really are trolling, aren't you? We gave you the aspects of a name brand, and then you scoff at that. We give you objective facts about the structure of the two sports, including ratings, and you go back to the name brand argument.
