He is not a TOP 10 person that is for sure...Not even counting the rape admission and the settlement in the civil trial. The cheating on his wife shortly after his first child is born (Is rape cheating?)

LOL at the effort you took to find stats to skew everything in LeBron's favor.

Hey how about I go look up who has more game winners, who has made more All NBA teams, who has more rings, etc.

Are you serious right now?

Game winners are a horrible way to rank players. Even though I think LBJ is killing Kobe there. All NBA teams? You don't think LBJ will end up with more? Rings? Uhm...frick me

Then include more rape accusations, rape arrests, $$$ paid out to rape victims.

While Kobe might have been 4-1 in games he had to go to court for his rape charge. James has yet to be arrested.

And lets not forget during the All-star weekend when Kobe failed the "passing" part of the skills challenge

We know Lebron is better, but no need to demonstrate his value through arbitrary assist and rebound totals. As a primary ball handler and someone who has significant height and weight on Kobe, he should be ahead in these categories. The impressive gap between them is when you demonstrate Lebrons efficiency from the field, his dramatic improvement in shooting over the years, his amazing health record, and summation metrics.

You sure you want to go there?

In the playoffs clutch game on the line shot attempts:
Kobe Bryant 7-25 for 28% shooting
LeBron James 5-12 for 41.7% shooting

Regular season clutch game on the line shot attempts:
LeBron James 23-69 for 33.3% shooting
Kobe Bryant 36-115 for 31.3% shooting

Kobe Bryant is 0-5 in his last 4 game winning playoff attempts.

PS-Keep in mind that these stats don't count the 2011-12, and 2012-13 seasons when LBJ was league MVP both years.

You want stats which are voted on? How about ONE measly MVP for Kobe and FOUR for LBJ? You can not be considered to be a top five, maybe not even top ten player if you've only won one MVP award in your career.

If you polled current NBA players who they would rather have as a teammate for their entire career, it might be a unanimous vote in favor of Nash.

No shite!

Kobe didn't get along with Shaq. Karl Malone. And his parents!

But its them!

From Phil Jackson himself:
"You can't be a selfish player and make this offense work for the team's good. Period." When I opened the floor to comments, there was complete silence, and I was about to adjourn the meeting when Shaq spoke up. He got right to the point, saying, "I think Kobe is playing too selfishly for us to win." That got everyone fired up. Some of the players nodded in support of Shaq, including Rick Fox, who said, "How many times have we been through this?" No one in that room came to Kobe's defense.

I have always said, that there was only one player in the NBA that could stop Shaq in 2004...and it wasn't Ben Wallace. It was Kobe!

If the rapist wasn't so selfish in that series...The Lakers win.

And for the record...I hate Lebron's flopping...but it is not even close in who is better. Lebron makes his teammates better...Kobe's teammates, wife, and parents HATE HIM! And me.

I hate him more. If I ever see him being interviewed on TV, I immediately turn the channel. I hate him that bad.

More Phil Jackson:
Jackson even talked about how the sexual-assault charges levied against Bryant in 2003 temporarily changed his outlook on the perennial All-Star.

It "cracked open an old wound" because Jackson's daughter was the victim of an assault while on a date with an athlete in college.

"Brooke expected me to get angry and make her feel protected. Instead I suppressed my rage — as I'd been conditioned to do during childhood by my parents … it left her feeling alone and unsupported. (In the end, after filing a report with the police, Brooke chose not to press charges.)

"The Kobe incident triggered all my unprocessed anger and tainted my perception of him. ... It distorted my view of Kobe throughout the 2003-04 season. No matter what I did to extinguish it, the anger kept smoldering in the background."

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single coach who has openly ripped one of his star players like Phil has ripped Kobe. If he says these things publicly, I wonder what he says privately about Kobe.

Players who only won one MVP and have a legitimate case to be top 10:

Jerry West (zero MVP's)
Shaq
Oscar Robertson
Hakeem
Kobe

Yeah, why don't you verify your statements before you come up with this bullshite?

ETA: By reading this last page, it sounds like Kobe raped two people no one ever heard of. Your guys' hate is as sad as the people who spew Lebron hate into every thread.

Like I said, none are top 5, and MAYBE not top 10. Kobe was almost always on a winning team and one that was usually one of the very best. To win only one MVP is inexcusable. Oscar and Hakeem weren't on teams that had as long of a winning run as the Lakers. Kobe also had the power of one of, if not the most, visible teams in the NBA. It's almost inconceivable he only won one MVP award.

Of course you would choose a popularity contest metric to diminish Kobe. As if he wasn't a better basketball player than Steve fricking Nash and Dirk Nowitzki those years.
Nash is one of worst defensive players ever. It baffles me that he won MVP.

In the same light, LeBron should have won it over Rose a few years go. And LOL at Charles Barkley and Karl Malone winning that award over the GOAT.

ETA: Shaq, Hakeem, and Kobe are Top 10. Oscar Top 15. West Top 20.
