One of the best plays in SB history.

True, but James Harrison made the play of a lifetime to give the Steelers a much needed edge at halftime
Of course. But Ben took the offense 80 yards down the field in the closing minutes to win the game.
Outside of that Harrison INT, the defense was pretty meh the entire game.

Allen would be 4-0 vs the chiefs in playoffs if his defense held chiefs to 23 points…
I would love to have that “meh” performance

Another not fun fact
Ben’s defense gave up 17 and 14 pts in his two AFC Champ games
Allen’s has given up 32 and 38

Wasnt the Bills defense ranked number one when Mahomes led a game winning drive that required only 13 seconds to set up a game winner?
Merely being awful and giving up 35 would still have been a bills W…

He's played in more than 2 AFC title games
2004: lost 41-27 to New England
2005: won 34-17 over Denver
2008: won 23-14 over Baltimore
2010: won 24-19 over New York
2016: Lost 36-17 to New England
He also lost a Super bowl 31-25
He lost in the divisional round to Jacksonville 45-42 and to Cleveland 48-37. In that Jacksonville game, he threw for 470 yards and 5 TDs

So in the two afc champ games he won(which I am clearly referencing) his defense held the other team to 14 and 17. I forgot to also note the 19 pt win game with his defense
When his defenses gave up 41 and 36 he lost
I mean, you are just furthering my point….Winning the Conference takes a TEAM effort where your defense contributes. Allen hasn’t gotten that yet. Hopefully one day it happens
But just to be direct to the OP besides being big Allen and Big Ben aren’t alike at all
Allen already has 3,000 more rushing yards than Ben

You ever seen a drunk run?
Posted on 1/29/25 at 2:56 pm to collegefootballisbroken
A fast person simply then becomes a fast drunk
Ben isn’t fast sober or drunk while on the field. He was great at avoiding tackles in the pocket, but he wasn’t a rushing threat like Allen with his legs
The better comp would be be
“Is Allen the non Mormon Steve young”

Except Young won the SB. And threw 6 td passes.

Allen is 28
Some other notable ages for first time winners
Brees-30
Peyton-30
Unitas-38
Elway-38
That’s why it’s so dumb people are freaking out about Lamar, burrow, and Allen not winning yet when they are in their 20s

So…. I’m pretty sure that had he not been sitting behind Joe he could have led that team to at least one more.
Posted on 1/29/25 at 4:10 pm to dukke v
Maybes but he didn’t win a Super Bowl at ages 30, 31, 32, and 33 when he was starting for the 49ers….

And one less Super bowl W

Ben never saw the day he could run like Allen.

Damn, I feel like Big Ben is totally devalued by everyone.
Seem a little crazy to me. That dude was a beast.

Hey I think Allen is great. I like the guy and his ability and he wasn’t the reason they lost. But
It’s over and wait till next year.

He just isn’t like Allen at all. Allen will end up with maybe 6-7k more rushing yards

I mean, it was a 14 point swing. That 80 yard drive would've needed to happen a couple more times had that ridiculous play not happened. I still can't believe someone from tue Cards didn't chase the dude down. Any tackle before the goal line and it was all for naught as the half was over. Poor Fitz.
