The obsession with the last second stuff is like people going to a "psychic reader" and focusing on the one or two "hits" while ignoring the 100 misses.

This is definitely not a fair comparison...I equate him more to a clutch Home run hitter in baseball...their average is usually low, but they come through with big plays when it matters.

And if you don't like the Sanchez example, I'll give you Vince Young. Still believe in him?

Young is a complete head case with a sidearm release that looks worse than Tebow's...I do see the comparison with the playmaking abilities, but nobody ever accused Young of being consistently a hard worker.

And again, Kyle Orton won his first six games in Denver. Heck, he "won games" in Chicago. Where is he now?

Again, they are not even close to the same style QB...Orton has never been a playmaker.

I hate that people are ignoring Denver's true MVP Von Miller

after the Jets game almost all the commentators talked about Von Miller and how good he is/will be.

That's not a formula for long term success.

And when did it matter against a good team this season?

You're intentionally missing the comparison.

Young, like Tebow, had horrible accuracy. Young, like Tebow, "just won games". Remember when the Titans started off winless under Collins and then started winning under Young?

Except Young can actually complete more than half his passes.

But he "won games". During that 6 game win streak to start the 2009 season, he had a 300 yard game. He had a 400 yard game later in the season, another win. They beat the New England Patriots that year--in a game where he had a fourth quarter come back and a drive that he led them to a field goal in overtime. Kyle Mother fricking Orton wins games.

And you and all the fanboys gave Tebow all the credit. In fact, JUST THIS WEEK, Denver fans were questioning whether Miller is for real. They have no such doubts about Tebow, even though well over 75% of his work indicates that he's not.

Here's your link, before you ask: LINK

And I don't know why you keep talking about the media. I've already established that my problem isn't with the media because I DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE MEDIA. My issue is with you and the other fanboys.

This has become a real cause for you. You pretty much are being defined by the "Hate Tebow" platform you present. Congrats!

You're missing what I was trying to say...Tebow is an extremely hard worker that at least will try to make up for his deficiencies through hard work in an attempt to get better, Young has deficiencies and made very little effort to correct those. I'm not saying Tebow will be an all-pro, I'm not saying hell win a Super Bowl, I'm saying the guy put's forth serious effort into doing his job and getting better, I'm sorry if you don't get that point.

I do not agree with those fans if they have no doubts about Tebow, but by the same token, don't act like Vonn Miller is this flawless player who's the best LB in the league...

Im not a fricking fanboy and if you don't pay attention to the media, why did you just link a Denver Post article about Vonn Miller?

I don't get why you hold this personal grudge and discount Tebow at every turn because of what the media has done as far as over-coverage...I haven't seen you once give the guy credit for what he has done.

I've already admitted that I (like most) like Tebow for what he does and stands for as the underdog and the way he handles himself, which is a breath of fresh air in the age of the attention whore athlete that makes everything about themselves...if you can't respect that about the guy, then you aren't a true football fan.

ETA: I'd like to add that I like Vonn Miller and think he's a stud and will be a pro bowler.

spot on - and boom with rummy's "no longer welcome in heaven" jab

BTW anyone else ever wonder if Tebow might be gay? This isn't some jab about his mannerisms... it is just highly unusual for a guy to pass on all the temptations that he probably had thrown at him in Florida and now Denver (AC Green comes to mind I guess)

The guy has probably had more oysters thrown at him than a shucker. Maybe his mom told him women have teeth down there or something
