This goes both ways, but I see your point. After the new CBA with the rookie pay scale, owners/coaches/etc aren't as gun shy about throwing their young QBs in to see if they can play or not. Not as expensive of a risk anymore to just cut bait early.

This, spread OL don't pass block for long and run blocking is usually not special.
