I think LSU fans don't fully understand it, because it's so huge in Baton Roug

I agree. I love LSU but to be so narrow minded just can't be healthy. I've lived in a few different states..and can tell you when I lived in Oswego, NY (outside of Syracuse) that D3 hockey team packed their gym every night for those games...it was rabid. At the bars they would show college hockey games on t.v...they loved hockey and peopel thought my LSU baseball jersey stood for Lake Superior University. They could care less abotu college baseball.

Californians really don't follow any one or two sports religiously, but check out all the players in MLB that are from CA (and Arizona), and the numbers are huge! CA is more of state that loves to play sports and be recreational than watch/attend sporting events.

i mean, yeah. the capacity is just over 3000 and the record crowds are just over 4000.

Add to the fact the UGA has no room to expand the stadium whatsoever, as it butts up against a hill.

The talent is huge. The interest unfortunitly isn't. Even USC, Fullerton, Irvine, Stanford ect, don't pull even decent attendance figures. The only west coast school in the top 15 in attendance is ASU.

The Frozen Four every year is a huge success, big rivalries (i.e. MSU vs Michigan) are held in college football stadiums that sell out.

Where you live you are probably right, but College Baseball is easily the #3 National College sport. Think about it the CWS is nearly 2 weeks now and the best of three series for the Championship has huge attendance. Also Every game is Nationally televised on ESPN. JMHO!
