Winners of the power 5 conferences and then highest ranked team remaining? The current system is better than BCS, I think. But should the conference champs be guaranteed a playoff opportunity?

If the G5 is open to starting the playoffs (kinda) in December, they could have all the G5 conferences have a tourney to qualify 1 team in the major tourney. This would mean every D1 team has a possibility/path to be in playoffs.

I like 8 the 5 P5 top G5 2 WC or the Bylaw 24 where all champs and it works for every division of football

With bylaw version you get best team winning it also

6 or 8 will be better than what we have. No reason that each conference champ shouldnt get a spot.

Automatic spots for conference champs is stupid. You could have a 3 or 4 loss team get an automatic spot. frick that. 8 teams is enough

The goal is to win conference for every team. Champions are not always best teams though. Sorry but to qualify you should be a champion.

What we have now is an invitational not a true championship

Or the bottom 4 champs have play in games and the top 6 get byes.

No mulligans. Known as the Bama Rule.

I don't think it makes sense to have a team with 1 loss with a top 3 recruiting class for the last.4 years to miss a playoff. Id want to beat the best to be the best.

Anything less than 8 will never be enough.
