quote:This is a new concept? These teams play harder schedules than they did before the realignment era (which I view as SWC disbanding/PSU to Big11/Conference USA creation). Conference schedules are much stronger due to things like three Big 10 adding PSU, USC, UCLA, Oregon, etc.
Smart at the expense of the fan. You can basically skip 25% of a top tier team’s schedule every year.
As for Indiana specifically, they have completely retooled the entire football program. They have a coach who knows how to use NIL to his maximum advantage. The post is missing out on a fairly obvious reason for the move. Instead of a home and home, they are bringing in two schools to keep both games at home.
As an SEC based board this is a bit hypocritical. FCS teams are the standard homecoming opponents. The SEC just beats the shite out of each other in conference...just like the Big 10. I'm hoping State doesn't screw with the home and home against Minnesota. (I attended both schools.) I've had those two games on my calendar since they were announced.

How would a game against Virginia OOC be more risk than a conference game against Iowa or Wisconsin?
Bc those aren’t tradition bottom half teams. You think if you traded Arkansas and Indiana schedules they wouldn’t have significantly different recent successes?
