"I signed with the Milwaukee Braves for three-thousand dollars. That bothered my dad at the time because he didn't have that kind of dough."

He finally made the Hall of Fame.

(As a broadcaster.)

He thinks he should have gone in as a player.

Eucker was an excellent defensive catcher, with a good arm.

Yeah I’m sure he wasn’t terrible like he jokes he was.

I was referencing his hall of fame induction speech where he joked he still thinks she should have gone in as a player.

You know he's a kidder, right?
He said once that anyone could play major league baseball with talent, but to fool them, year after year, the way he (allegedly) did, was a much greater feat.

Had 14 home runs in his career.

The two in 1965 came against Gaylord Perry and Sandy Koufax.

"I apologize to Sandy Koufax to this day. I thought that home run might keep him out of the Hall of Fame."

Euck has been the best thing about the Brewers for decades.
