I'm pretty sure his 4 straight graded staked wins(3 grade1) are plenty for his "glory"

How has no one brought up the fact the IHA's trainer is banned for the month of July for "milkshaking" (doping) other horses? This sounds super fishy to me.

Oh please that'll only be remembered by some horse racing diehards. If this horse nutted up and won it could've got a movie.

frickING HELL

I'm tired of explaining this shite. Do you even know what a fricking milkshake is???
And he was found not guilty. Tco2 level of .39 when.37 is the limit is not a fricking milkshake. They test waaaaaaaaaay over.

Go find my rant in the Belmont thread. Or my rants in Preakness threads

Maybe later I'll copy and paste it again for the idiots.

If he was found not guilty then why the ban? You sound kind of like a Lance Armstrong/Alberto Contador apologist but for horses.

Because as trainer in Cali you are responsible for your horse.

Trainers don't drug, vets do.

Horse being too dehydrated or a little too much lasix would cause that.

I'm in the business. A milkshake tests MUCH higher.

How much do you know about racing?

Check out baffert's record. Check out assmussen. Many, many more violations.

I fricking hate the national media for preying on idiots that don't know any better.

Reposted AGAIN

quote:

Some of this is a response to stuff the guy directly said. Also, most of his violations are for overages of legal drugs. Different jurisdictions have different rules. Hell, Louisiana just changed their bute %. Sometimes keeping track when you run everywhere is difficult.

quote:
I am not going through the descriptions of his violations again. Milkshake test can show a range of total co2 levels (milkshake is way over limit) and most of the trainers you love are probably just as much if not more prone to BAD violations. Every state has different withdrawal times, etc.

I'm guessing you get all your racing knowledge from the new York times. Spend some time on the backside before you start discussing things you have no clue about..

As far as the breakdown level, oneill started at the bottom with lots of claimers. Usually the cheaper horses have SOME issue, even if it's just lack of speed. Graham motion started out as sheppard's assistant, so he always had ready clients with nice horses. I love graham motion and Jonathan Shepard. They are 2 of my favorite trainers, but the didn't have to claw their way from the bottom up.

It's ok. Just wishe people knew more before opening their mouths. On Tuesday he was late with that lead change. That's when I started getting worried.

Actually trainers do drug but not a lot of them do. And milkshakes are very easy to give so trainers do that also.

I understand that. BELIEVE ME.

Hubby runs in the most crooked place around... Evangeline. I can't wait til fair grounds starts back.

My point in that was that usually the vets are assisting because needles can get a trainer banned.

And milkshakes are easy. They go through a stomach tube.

What I was trying to say (while driving) was that that horse wasn't milkshaked (is that even a word?).

You at least seem to know what you are talking about, so you understand that when a horse has been given a milkshake, the tco2 level is off the charts. There's no wiggle room.

And the milkshake has to been given about an hr before they run to have any effect. And when they do a milkshake test (at least here) they draw blood from every horse in the race before the race is run. Winners obviously are tested every time.

I'm sorry. It's all just frustrating me do much because oneill is a pretty good horseman.
