That 2003 BCS doesn't count.

They changed the system to devalue the computers.

I agree with PJ. Bama isn't going to drop unless Stanford/OSU win out.

I'm only arguing the point that he brought up, the Pac-12 CG - not the overall body of work.

If...IF...the computers have OR ranked below AL before the game, then I'm not 100% sure that a win over a WEAK UCLA team would catapult them above Bama.

But, in the end, PSU is about to get their asses handed to them and AR will lose to LSU, thus killing any advantage that Bama has over OR in the comp. polls.

So, in the end, we agree.

Bama drops to 3 in the BCS and you don't hink they will play in a rematch, yeah right. I think Oklahoma will beat Okie St. leaving Stanford as the only unbeaten besides Boise St. Oregon could beat Stanford, but I still don't think they leapfrog Alabama and the amounts teams lose by are part of the equations they use to figure out thse things.

The you have to win your conference argument only makes sense bc the logic is there's for sure a better team than you, the one who won your conference. That logic is flawed in and of itself but when you throw in the fact that Bama and Oregon both lost to the same team it's absurd to say Oregon is more deserving of a shot just bc they happened to play LSU in a non-conference game and Bama played them in conference

a 12-1 Oregon (Conference Champion) leapfrogs 11-1 Alabama (winner of nothing).

Doesn't matter if we beat Bama by 3 and Oregon by 100. Oregon goes.

[This holding constant the fact that Okie St loses obviously]

You have a hard time grasping time, and it's relevance on this subject.

Well, they don't play the NCG the week after the Stanford/OR game, so...
