Just put them together in the 32 or so largest college football towns. Invite the players from that team. Pay them $20k each per game played. Profit...

Because no one cares about shitty minor league football.
How many times does a league have to fail?
ETA: And yes, I understand that what killed XFL 2.0 was a special circumstance, but it's ratings were dropping each week.

Because they already lose a frick ton of money when paying fans are actually allowed to be in the stands, combined with the expense of the mass testing system that would need to be put in place in order a season to move forward.

Dont worry that is where we are headed
These spoiled shits are going to get their wish and tens of thousands of athletes in D1 will never get to have an opportunity that was only afforded to them via the current sports model. All the third string clowns signing support for players pay that arent even worth the scholarship will be wondering what the frick happened to them.
A small select number of semi-pro football teams and basketball teams will spring out of all these "demands" and everything else is going to be gone.
The Ohio Browns will play the Alabama Saints in Columbus renting out the Shoe, the Texas Texans will play the Penn State Eagles in Austin renting out Darrelll, and the Georgia Falcons will play the Michigan Lions in Athens renting out Sanford.
And it might last a couple years before the 16 program shite show folds
Good job assholes

I shouldn't be trying to help a disgusting Auburn fan. I don't know what I'm thinking.
