Are we going to hear Leaf-Manning 3800 times on ESPN tomorrow?

why would we?
Brady-Russell...ESPN will hype him up as the new Manning, and how much Russell sucks, the next Leaf. You know, anything to sell news.

I don't know, JR has a long way to fall before anyone starts a Ryan Leaf comparison. And Brady is in a way better situation than JR.

You are talking sanity, does not apply for journalism these days.
There was a journalist that said both Russell and McFadden are NFL busts. ESPN has crucified Russell for last week's game, yet they cant acknowledge that Jesus would have quit on that mothafrickin team the way the o-line played.

Leaf-Manning was such a big deal because there was legitimate buzz about who was going to be selected #1 while knowing that the other would be #2.
The 2007 Draft on the other hand had Jamarcus going 1st and Brady going 22nd. Add to it that Jamarcus himself has generated very little buzz out in Oakland and it doesn't become anywhere close to Leaf-Manning.

The Manning-Leaf thing was very frequently mentioned in the 2007 NFL draft by those who were voicing against Russell.

But Brady was still never brought into the conversation. Everyone figured he would be a Top 10 lock (with no one imagining he could fall as far as he did) but he wasn't even in the discussion for #1 overall.

Seems like more should be made with Rodgers/Smith then
