There weren't any two loss conference champs last year.

Apples and oranges.

Lol at you trying to compare Ohio State's resumes between the past two seasons. Their only ranked win last year was a top 15 Michigan. They have a realistic shot to have 3 top 10 wins plus 1 top 15 win this year.

So if its just about resumes, why are we even playing conference title games?

Furthermore, your argument is laughable considering TCU got jobbed in 2014 when Ohio State got bumped above them. TCU beat 4 ranked teams that year to Ohio States 2, so based on your logic, TCU should have went to the playoffs since they had a better resume right?

Baylor had more wins vs ranked teams than Ohio State that year, so did the "better resume" get chosen that year?

People one both sides are not thinking clearly. OSU homers are of course saying this year isn't like last year and haters are saying that it like other situations.

In 2014, TCU had 1 good win Oklahoma, who lost in their last game of the year, and OSU got another good win the last week of the season. TCU didn't have a better resume than OSU. OSU had a win by 60 over a top 15 Wisky and a top 10 MSU on the road. TCU had no good wins.

OSU is in a weird position based on the past 2 season, but every one is unique

You're comparing apples to oranges again. None of the previous two seasons are like this current one.

ETA. And there's still 3 weeks left. So much can happen in that timeframe.

But the committee specifically has said of a team is clearly better they will get in.

I've slept on this a bit. Here is my feeling. If PSU or Wisconsin win the BIG they still have less good wins than OSU.

OSU would have wins over Wisky Michigan and OU who all may finish top 10. No one else will have anything close to that in the whole country

I hear you, but at its simplest thought process, if PSU beat OSU and goes to and wins the conferences, even with an extra loss, it's hard to make the argument that OSU is "clearly better"

My simple argument to this is:

OSU will have beaten the team PSU lost to
OSU will have wins over Wisky, Michigan and OU

PSU will have 2 losses, 1 of which was by 30 points
PSU will have wins over OSU and Wisky

Seems to me those resumes are not that close. And yes I do realize head to head matters but only when they have equal records or else you end up going around in circles

I disagree. The H2H and the conference title count for a lot here.

Again, I'm not arguing either way, i'm saying it's close and neither side has a claim to "clearly better" IMO.

That's not the only time it matters.
