I remember when 20 mil/yr seemed astronomical.

But 45 mil/yr is obnoxious, irresponsible, unnecessary, and an insult to the average fan. Love Patrick Mahomes and I don't fault him but this kind of increase in QB pay is absurd.

It’s not even the AAV that gets me, it’s the length of the deal. If they said they were doing a 3 year extension worth $120 million with $90 million guaranteed, I would get it. But they added essentially $8 million more per year on top of that and threw on 7 more years. Mahomes is what? 24 years old? You have hitched your wagon to him until he’s 36. He’s had two phenomenal seasons, but frick boys, with that kind of money he better be in the SB or win the MVP if not both, from here on out.

I believe you are worth what someone is willing to pay you. With that being said these contracts are getting outrageous, and making it difficult for families to enjoy a live game
