The refs some times make it impossible to play defense even attempt to contest his drives.
Is it the refs or the rules? Are you saying that guys are standing still in front of him and not moving their feet, just taking the charge? I think what makes it impossible to play defense against him is his 275 pounds running at you like a freight train at about a 4.4 forty.

You haven't really come out and said what your point is. Are you a conspiracy theorist or do you think Lebron is just legitimately getting fouled more than anybody in playoff history?
First, let me state: The NBA doesn't RIG games. The players play them.
However, the NBA DOES decide which refs are working each game. This is important because there is no transparency as to the methods or reasonings of these selections and it has been shown time and again how the make shift crews affect the games.
That, in and of itself, points to the NBA influencing games. Why can't they have an outside, independent, entity reffing the games that have rules for who refs what game?
Second, to the NBA, Lebron is first and foremost a product, not a player. To make money with a product, you do what you can to keep it on the shelf longer. He's not just "breaking" the free throw records. He's shattering them. Time and time again it has been shown that alot of those calls putting him on the line are phantom calls.
Ultimately, the players play, but if you don't think the NBA wants, and will try to influence, a Kobe/Lebron finals you are fooling yourself.

which team do you expect to shoot more FTs?:
team a - dominant big man in the post who shoots poor FTs, multiple guys capable of beating you off the dribble
team b - big men that shoot jumpshots, perimeter guys that shoot basically jumpshots, and one guy who does all the driving and creating

Who are the multiple guys that can beat you off the dribble???
Alston doesnt do much penetrating. Rashard is mainly a jump shot guy, so is Courtney Lee. Hedo, another jump shooter, he drives sometimes but doesn't really draw much contact.

And just how much driving did lebron do?? Lots. Sure some of the calls probably shouldn't have been, but people are taking it WAY too far. How many times did a guy like Howard just put his hands straight up, but then slide his body in front of Lebron after lebron jumped?? Then half the posters freak out even though there was some good calls.

you named them. they shoot jumpshots when they have wide open threes, but all of these guys are capable of getting to the basket and anyone who watches basketball knows this.

ORL knows that lebron is going to drive. there is no way he should be shooting 24 FTs in a game. there were a handful of fouls each game that i scratched my head at.

yes, they are capable, but that doesn't mean they do it much.
other than Howard, Hedo and Lewis are there main 2 scorers, and anyone who watches basketball knows they are considered jump shooters. Especially Lewis, but like I said, hedo doesnt really look for contact when he drives.
