Next season if he comes back? Who won't be back for the Yankees?

Nick Johnson has a 5.5 MM option with a 250K buyout. Seems obvious that he is gone.

I think they might try to get Posada and his 13 MM plus salary to hang them up

will be interesting to see how they try to handle Javier Vasquez

i also think that Berkman gets moved if the Yanks can get Crawford from Tampa

Gotta keep jeter. Get rid of granderson. Keep posada too as well as mo and pettite. Go after cliff lee. We just need serviceable guys in the ot.

Jeaux you are literally the only person who roots for the Yanks I would say this to; "Sorry for your loss"

Contract is up, let him go.

$15 mil club option with a $2 mil buyout. Unless he wants to DH...I think he's done in pinstripes. I liked him though.

I say bring back:

Kerry Wood
Mo
Jeter

Drop:
Javy
Berkman unless he wants to DH, even then Thames has been a very good, cheap option there

On the fence:
Pettite, totally dependent on what other moves we can make in the rotation *cough Lee cough*

Players with deals to move:
Granderson or Swish, depends on if we get Werth or Crawford
Posada, it is time Jorge. It makes me sad to say, but it is time.

They technically have an option on Berkman, but the terms of his agreement to be traded to the Yanks was that they had to agree to decline his option, making him a free agent.

Berkman will not be optioned and he will become a free agent. I think its the Rangers or Retirement for Lance.
