re: I don't understand why fumbling into the end zone is a turnover?

The answer is to stop people from fumbling the ball forward for more yards close to the end zone being the field is more conjested the offense would have a better chance of recovering. It's a preventative just like if a player gets hurt or acts hurt in last few seconds, they automatically run off time.

Odd way to describe the beat down.

Yea I get that I guess, it just seems like an overly harsh penalty

It really is such a crazy rule. I remember watching a game where a player looked to have scored a Touchdown. Upon further review, he fumbled right before the goal line and through the end zone. But before he fumbled, his foot stepped out of bounds. So the referee goes out there, and says the ball is down on the one and the dumbass receiver is screaming bullshite on the sidelines, when the out of bounds call was the only reason his team still had the ball.

You were done when you started this thread and made that shitty point in the OP.
Do better next time.

Lol the sad thing is you actually believe that. Even though I answered your question twice but you decided "it wasn't good enough" or whatever bs you have to tell yourself to feel that entitled.
Meanwhile you've missed the whole point of the thread which is I feel like the rule is overly harsh yet you never even attempted to say why you don't think it's harsh

This is why I don't care. You don't really have any reason other than just plain dislike of it.
This rule hurts your feelings. Noted.
