I don't like the elitist attitude either but if people didn't go out of their way at every turn to make a typically uneducated remark about it soccer fans probably wouldn't feel the need to be that way. Also I didn't go to high school in Alabama and have never been beat up.

I played baseball for about all my life up through high school. Now, I can't even stand watching it. Don't know why, don't know really when, but I lost any interest for it very quickly.

I don't hate soccer, I am just more apathetic towards it than other sports. When the US is playing in the world cup, I will keep up with it just because I want America to kick the arse of every other country in every sport imaginable. With that being said, I don't lose any sleep if we aren't dominant. I don't live and die with the results of soccer matches. For me soccer is kind of like ice hockey. I will watch it during the olympics and I might watch some during the NHL playoffs but other than that I just don't get jacked up about it.
It is just hard for me to get excited about a game where you can end in a 1-1 tie and everyone is all pumped up about it. They should have penalty kicks or something until a winner is decided.

To a certain degree you are right but when you are talking about the NFL or major college football, you are dead wrong. Many of those guys are amazing athletes and would be dominant in Rugby or any other sport they wanted to play.
Now australian rules football is just in another category altogether. Those bastards make rugby players and American football players look tame by comparison.
What was the guy's name that kicked (or maybe is still kicking in the NFL) that had played Australian Rules Football? Graham? Anyway, he said that there was no comparison to the beating he took in every game in Australian Rules Football.

Both, I really don't like baseball at all and have probably seen about 3 innings total all year. However, except in this thread to prove a point about how stupid it is I don't go around talking about how boring and gay it is and calling everyone who plays or enjoys it a fig. I respect the history and tradition and understand a lot of people enjoy it.
