The heck does 1 sack in a game with 70 plays do for a team??

Depends on the context, but the fact that he gets 1 a game at least tells you that he is getting pressure on the QB, which is huge for the D.

As long as he's happy being the best player on the worst team in the league, I guess it's fine with me

he was voted the best player by other NFL players, but I'm sure you know much more about who is the best player than they do.

If it more than all but one other person, that's a lot, why is that so hard to understand? How many you think would be a good #.

so defense isn't important?

not replying at you. just you are last comment.

tonight's MNF game just ended..

the bears have 2 sacks the chargers have 1 sack.

all game.. long..

sacks don't just grow on trees.. so if he is averaging at least a sack every game.. that's pretty legit.

Very overrated but not according to the MSB which praises this attention whore on and off the field. But this board shites on certain types of players that does celebrations.

A sack is usually indicative of pressure in general. He isn't getting a sack everytime he hurries the qb. Of course you may disagree that putting pressure on the quarterback is valuable, but there is a reason that DE/pass rusher in general is the 3rd highest paid position group in the NFL behind quarterbacks and Left Tackles (the guys protecting the quarterbacks from the pash rushers).

Seriously? Not only is this an indication of other disruptive plays (QB hurries), there are schematic problems that players like Watt cause and teams have to adjust in ways rhag would rather not.

This is pretty rudimentary and common football knowledge.
